Welcome to the Norse News Network!

The Norse News Network, or N3 as it is commonly called, is a weekly

this newsletter you will find info about campus and community
activities, university wide announcements and job opportunities. The
Office of Student Life is proud to offer this service to you. For more
information about getting involved on campus visit the Office of Student
Life, University Center Suite 10, call us at 859.572.6514 or check out

SOC Nominations due Monday - February 27th!

The Office of Student Life and the SOC Committee invites all registered
student organizations to participate in "A Night with the Stars" on
April 12, 2006. The Student Organization Celebration award
application/nomination packets have been distributed into Student
Organization mailboxes. If you have not received yours please get one
in the Office of Student Life. Be aware that there are several changes
to the process this year. Two awards, Outstanding Program and Campus

Need HELP With Your Financial Aid?

FAFSA may quite possibly be the most feared acronym of the college
experience, but the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) wants
you to know that it doesn't have to be, and to prove it, the OSFA is
sponsoring FINANCIAL AID NIGHT on Thursday, February 23, 2006 in Room
365 of the Applied Science and Technology Center (AST or AS&T) from 6:00
p.m. - 8:00p.m. Please bring student and parent completed 2005 federal
income taxes and all other important tax documents. The OSFA staff will
be on hand to help you complete your 2006-2007 FAFSA online. IMPORTANT:
Both you and your parents should apply for a 4-digit pin number at this
website <http://www.pin.ed.gov/PINWebApp/appinstr.jsp> . This PIN number
will allow you and your parents to electronically sign your FAFSA
shortening the processing time by at least two weeks. Not sure if
you'll qualify for aid? It doesn't hurt to find out. Submit your FAFSA
by March 1st to be sure you receive the maximum amount you can receive.
Applying for aid doesn't mean you have to take a student loan, but it's
good to have them ready in case of emergency. Stop by with questions
regarding Financial Aid Night. Our office is located in the Lucas
Administrative Building, Room 416. Office hours are 8:15 a.m. - 4:30
