collaborating with NKU in an attempt to place NKU students in
professional and paid CO-OP positions this summer. This organization
has CO-OP positions that pay students $13-$18 an hour! Ninety percent
of the students who CO-OP at Western & Southern are hired as full time
after graduation. The Western & Southern Human Resource department
would like to invite seventy-five NKU students to their downtown office.
This program will allow students to learn the culture of the
organization and valuable professional leadership skills. Students will
attend educational sessions, including a lunch keynote address by
Western & Southern's President CEO and Chairman of the Board, John
Barrett. This program is open to students in all majors. The program is
open to both undergraduate and graduate students. To apply students
must meet the following requirements: be at least a sophomore, have a
minimum GPA of 2.8, proven teamwork skills through student organizations
or work experience, excellent oral and written communication skills and
the desire to work in the corporate environment. There is a $20
registration fee to attend this program. This fee will provide two
meals, parking and all conference materials. The Norse Leadership
Society will find sponsorship for any student that is in financial need.
Applications will be available on Monday, November 19. The application
deadline is Friday, February 1, 2008. The Western & Southern Human
Resources department will select all of the participants. Students who
